Baruky Ruiz
Board Member
Baruky originally hails from Mexico City and spent the first 20 years of his life living in Colorado as an undocumented resident. He eventually secured his permanent residency and has called the Montbello area home for nearly two decades, having owned his own residence there for about seven years. Over the years, he has been actively engaged in community work with various organizations such as Strengthening Families, Steps to Success, and others. Despite being unable to vote, Baruky actively participated in civic engagement. It was a co-worker who recognized the importance of participating in community decisions and helped him proudly attain his citizenship. With a commitment to making a positive impact in Montbello, he now has the privilege of serving on the MOC board, fulfilling his promise to remain involved and contribute to his community, not only within the state but, most importantly, in the place he proudly calls home.
