Bernadette McClair

Director of Development

Bernadette McClair has 30 years of working in the nonprofit sector, working in higher education, Workforce Development & Continuing Education, and government entities. She has a wealth of knowledge and successes in areas of fundraising, government processes, analytics, and policies to be state audit ready. She is also boots on the ground with community development, Public Relations, Business, sales, and marketing. She recently completed her BS at MSU Denver University’s Individualized Degree Program (IDP) with honors where she will receive a Bachelor of Science Extended Major in Community Improvement. She has an Honorary Masters of Chaplaincy from the International Police & Fire Chaplains Bible College & Seminary. In February of 2024 she joined the Montbello Organizing Committee (MOC) as the Development Associate to assist the CEO, executive assistant, Human Resources and the entire MOC team. She is excited to bring her skillset to empower and deliver positive community impact and engagement.

After moving to Denver in March of 2020, one of her huge successes was at Dress for Success Denver, presenting an ‘ask’ with Arron Wallace and Lisa Schomp, owner of Schomp Automotive and receiving a major financial donation from Schomp Subaru to purchase the DFS Denver “Butterfly Bus” Transformation Center Program on Wheels. In addition, she has done major fundraising, saving her identical twin sister who had six months to live, getting her treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota to save her life.

Mrs. McClair is a volunteer for Denver Health Patient-Family Advisory Council (PFAC) and a board member of the Lotus Network. She is an advocate for survivors of Domestic Violence, and empowering communities through awareness of rare and debilitating diseases, events, and art.
Bernadette is an amazing wife and a mother of six adult children, four sons and two daughters. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling to Michigan to see her youngest daughter play college volleyball. She has a huge passion for volunteering, mentoring youth and supporting others to grow in work and in life.
